| Description of Services: | Peggy Malone and Associates, Inc. a DBE with the VDOT, is an experienced team of professionals whose primary goal is the efficient gathering of traffic data in an accurate and timely manner. We have been in business nine years and we specialize in turning movement counts, volume and axle counts, classification counts, speed counts, signal timing counts and condition diagrams and many other data gathering services. Peggy Malone and Associates, Inc. believes in two very important principles. First and foremost, we believe in accurate data. We have and will continue to make additional counts to confirm or replace suspicious data. All reports are reviewed in detail for accuracy and consistency before being submitted. Where possible, data is compared to previous studies at or near the same location. We continually train our field crews to make certain they provide the most accurate traffic count possible. Our equipment is checked and rechecked to make sure it is counting correctly. In addition, we use only the most modern equipment available. Second, we believe in submitting our reports on time. We know you have time constraints and need the data by a certain date. We have continually met or exceeded every deadline in every project we have been given. We believe these attributes are extremely important to every project we undertake. Counters that are set by experts lend themselves to highly accurate data. When this is professionally reviewed, then given to the client in the proper format, on time and at a reasonable price, we have the right combination to satisfy the requirements of our customers. MALONE presently has over 400 state-of-the-art traffic counters capable of volume, speed, class and gap studies along with more than 40 Jamar Electronic Turning Movement boards. This equipment is required to stay abreast of our every-increasing workload. We have fully-trained and available crews to install this equipment to satisfy our clients needs. We have completed both large and small projects for our private and public clients. Some of these are listed below (note that many of these are repeat projects for the same client). · Over 200 seven-day volume counts on a major turnpike each year for the last 5 years. · Multiple classification and volume counts at several locations on Virginia's Interstate system. Counts are repeated at different times of the year. · 135 Turning Movement counts as part of a large signal-retiming project for a metropolitan eastern city. This client has since contracted with Malone on a continuing basis to provide them with traffic data (over three years). · 350 twenty-four hour volume counts and 50 turning movement counts for a major city on an annual basis for the last five years (this contract has been renewed twice primarily because of our performance). · Numerous private sector projects in Virginia ranging from single traffic counts to multiple locations multiple function requirements. · Major analysis of a significant arterial in western Virginia including 24-hour volume, speed and class counts combined with speed and delay counts and stop sign and intersection delay counts. In the past two years we have completed projects in Hampton, Norfolk, Va Beach, Suffolk, Roanoke, Bedford, Charlottesville, Waynesboro, Harrisonburg, Richmond, Petersburg, Fredericksburg, and Williamsburg and Washington, DC. MALONE has a Virginia registered Professional Engineer review every traffic count. We believe this is necessary to maintain the high standards we feel are required of all projects we complete. |
